  • Betsy brought an all organic chicken soup that was fabulous! Thank you Betsy!!   She took the recipe out of the candida cook book that Karen shared.  We were all disappointed that there weren’t desserts in that book.  Even though we are aware of the effects of sugar and white flour- no one wants to go through the holidays without any treat…I don’t!
  • Karen brought two versions of her almond crunch candy.  This recipe was adapted from a ‘sugar’ recipe and everyone present was happy to be her ‘guinea-pigs’.  It was made with Xylitol. Xylitol is made from birch bark and is has a low-glycemic index and here is the best part…wait for it…it’s worthy of the wait…and the suspense…holy yummy flavors..IT TASTES GOOD!!  The almond crunch candy was nice tasting but the consistency still isn’t right…more tries ahead…and more tastings…  🙂
  • Karen presented  Steps to Wellness (in short here-more next meeting) and also her personal list of suggestions.  Karen expressed her appreciation for dōTERRA pure products and the company’s dedication to only the very best quality!  Quality that is always tested and assured.  Safe for children of all ages!  🙂  (Remaining childlike is one of the best youthful elixirs!)  www.mydoterra.com/HappyWithOils
  • Carolyn presented some information she found in her research and suggested http://www.advancedbionutritionals.com for quality supplements
  • Ashley commented that she likes adding maca root powder to her smoothies
  • There were lots of hand outs
  • We forgot to make our commitments to our next meeting…ah well we are getting better at this, eh?!
